すきな食べもの！

obviously, I love music, as seen from my last post, but I also equally love FOOD. ^.^ makes me so happy! so lets only talk about food! yay!

私わ食べものと飲みものがだいすきです！えと〜きょねんかんこくにいきました。not only was it たくさんたのしかったです、私わかんこくの食べものをたくさん食べました。おいしです〜along with loving Korean food,　日本の食べもの、中国の食べもの、スパインの食べもの、がすきです！ I actually love every kind of food. でも私わにくは食べません。大きらいですね〜それから、おすしわone of my favorite food. 大すきです〜

anyway, Korean food in Korea. 

kimchiわかんこくの食べもの。 most famous かんこくの食べものです。you can use it in many dishes such as kimchi fried rice, kimchi stew, or kimchi pancake.　この食べものがとてもおいしいですね〜。kimchi and kimchi related dishes わちょっとおもしろいです。a bit different and spicy. 

かんこくわたくさん食べものがあります。日本のレストランがたくさなります。かんこく人わ日本の食べものが大すきですよ。私の日本人ともだちわかんこくがすきです。日本の食べものがたくさなりますから。でも私わともだちとstreet foodをたくさん食べました。

food like soondae, kimchi pancake, ddukbookki(red hot rice cake), kimbab, and odang.

Kimchi Pancake. hmmm~

soondae, basically sausage made of pigs blood served with the liver and stuff. tastes better then it sounds.

from left to right, ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes), kimbab (korean sushi, not really), and odang (fish cake served in a soup) おだんわてんぷらです。i think.....

these食べものがおいしいです。食べてください〜

この食べものがとてもやすいです。それからたくさんこどもわ学生ととても食べます。kimbab, soondae, odang, and kimchi pancake all cost about $2-3.　とてもやすいですねえ〜そして、この食べものわfun to eat! (although not really good for you.....) Also, かいしゃいんわよるkimbab, soondae, etc...たくさん食べます, of course with a potent alcohol called soju. ^.^

its a soju commerical.... TT.TT;;;;;;; with hyori, a famous celeb, it says "shake it! the more you shake it the more smooth it tastes!" the soju is called "like the first time" 

but, this is just a commercial.....hopefully no one goes around shaking a bottle like her......

でも、私わともだちとおさけを飲みません。きらいです。。。。

overall,かんこくの食べものわおもしろいとおいしです〜 if you have the chance, try it! ^.^

also,　beatles, led zeppelin, frank sinatra, and the doorsがだいすきです！私わまいにちとまいばのんがくをききます。music is my life and my life revolves around music.　I dont think I ever had a time in my life when music wasnt part of it. it has enriched and helped me through the hard times, bad times, and even the really happy times. Besides, im not a music snob. im really open to any new kinds of people/bands/types of music. and honestly, I dont understand it when people arent moving to their music and the music that is present everywhere you go.

meh~but then again it just might be me.....

あきやすみわなにをしますか。わたしわワシントンDCにいきました。すきでした！　わたしのともだち、マリソルトホマさんわしゃしんをたくさんとりました。わたしのともだちのうちわワシントンDCがあります。だから、わたしわワシントんいいきました。ひとりでいきました。でもブスリヅがちょとつまらなかったです。でもわたしわおんがくをたくさんききました！

ワシントンDCがあつかったですねえ〜 まちがおおきかったですそれからまちもとてもいすがしかったです。

えと．．．土曜日にわたしのともだちマリソルさんとホマさんわでかけりました。いしょうにワシントンDCでしゃしんをとりました。たのしかったです！！！わたしわともだちがすきです〜

Washington Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and White Houseでしゃしんをたくさんとりました．元気です〜

日曜日にひとりでSachler and Freer Museumにいきました．The Sachler and Freer Museum had lots of Asian art.　わたしのともだちわしごとをしました。After they finished, イショニメクシカンのレスランでタマレイ（tamale)とタコ（taco)をたべました。おいしいですねえ〜だいすきですねえ〜

月曜日に私のともだちナサんさんわワシントンDCにきました。わたしとナサンさんわえいがをみました。えいががたのしかたです。after、わたしとマリソルさんとホマさんとナサんさんわバンごはんをたベマした．おいしいです！ちゅうごくのレストランでたべました。

私わ火曜日にスミスだいがくをかえりました。

overall,　わたしのあきやすみがたのしかったです！やすみがすきです！

and my fondness (maybe too much) for anime/manga people in all their unrealistic glory. what a dork i am.....

はじめまして。

in general, わたしわ日本ごがすきです

but the academic/career reason would be because わたしのせんもんわかんこくと日本art history(れいしゃい）。Interestingly enough I got into art history at my old college but I didnt want to pursue Korean and Japanese art history till I studied abroad in Korea last year. I then cultivated an (re)interest in korean pop culture and japanese pop culture. exciting no? and I have the basis for korean (i just need to polish it) but I thought it might be a good idea to learn the language of the country I might go for art and such....

and so, I actually am an avid reader of manga (I know, what a dork!) but ever since I first watched anime such as Evangelion and (god forbid) Sailormoon I fell in love with the Japanese pop culture and language. Since then, I have a passion for japan in general. it also helps that I have friends who I met while in korea who are japanese. ^.^　日本ごがすきです！so hopefully I will end up in Japan or Korea after I graduate from Smith. who knows.....
